Hi, I'm

Hi, I'm
Christopher Gilbert.
This site is currently a work-in-progress. Feel free to take a look around, but know that some sections aren't finished yet. Thanks!
I'm a undergradate at MIT interested in physics, programming, math, and music. I'm especially interested in topics relating to quantum physics, quantum computing, and quantum information science, which I've explored through the University of Waterloo's Quantum School for Young Students, the MIT Beaverworks Quantum Software course, and by completing a project on universal quantum gates in the 2024 Wolfram Summer Highschool Research Program.
In 2019, I published my award-winning book Quantum Mechanics for Kids: A Humorous, Easy-to-Read, Math-Free Book on a Very Perplexing Subject, and since then I've continued to teach through classroom talks, presentations, and videos.
I'm a World Science Scholar from the 2021 cohort, and I've also have completed a project on noninteger functional iteration in the 2024–2025 Wolfram Emerging Leaders Program.
I also play the piano and pipe organ, as well as sing in four ensambles, including the Psalterium Institute Chamber Choir. I compose music, having written over a dozen finished pieces and won an award from the Golden Key international piano composition competition.
